Cleopatra's Cafe in Santa Fe is a straightforward, fast-casual spot that serves Mediterranean and North African dishes with a noticeable Egyptian and Middle Eastern influence. It’s the kind of place where the ordering process is simple—place your order upfront, grab a number, and settle in. The dining area shows an industrial-chic vibe with exposed pipes, glass, and steel elements, giving it a modern yet unpretentious feel that makes it easy to drop in for a quick lunch or an easy dinner.

The menu balances familiar Mediterranean staples like gyros sandwiches, large lamb salads, and fresh Greek-style salads with more distinctive offerings such as the Luxor Lamb Kabob, Egyptian Moussaka, and the popular Cairo Chicken Plate. Noteworthy sides and extras, including sweet potato fries and homemade tzatziki-like sauce, add texture and flavor to the main dishes. For those who want a touch of sweetness to end the meal, baklava is a frequently recommended choice, baked with phyllo dough, nuts, and honey.

Locals and visitors alike seem to appreciate the speed and consistency here. It’s well suited for anyone who wants authentic Mediterranean and Egyptian flavors without the formality of a sit-down restaurant. The relaxed atmosphere is complemented by efficient service, making it a convenient lunch spot for people working nearby or a casual dinner destination. Family-friendly options are available too, with a children’s menu that includes accessible favorites like pizza and chicken nuggets served with fries and a drink, accommodating parents who want to introduce younger diners to Mediterranean cuisine.

Cleopatra's feels like a small but lively culinary outpost within Santa Fe's food scene—especially for those craving spiced lamb dishes or a taste of North African and Egyptian cooking, which can be rare in the area. The setting suits midday breaks or early evening visits when you can enjoy a quick, flavorful meal without fuss. The option to order extras like a half pound of lamb gyros meat or a side of mussel soup also hints that it’s a place open to customizing your experience based on your appetite.

Overall, Cleopatra's Cafe fits well for diners who want a direct, well-executed taste of Mediterranean and North African flavors in a clean, no-frills environment. It’s a spot where the food takes center stage and the pace keeps things practical, a combination that resonates with locals looking for something authentic yet unpretentious in Santa Fe’s diverse dining landscape.

Stepping into Cleopatra's, I noticed its industrial-chic interior, a blend of glass and steel walls along with exposed HVAC pipes on the ceiling. The ordering process is straightforward: place your order, grab a number, and find a table. I opted for the Al Maryam Plate, which was a delightful experience. The olives were perfectly ripe and flavorful, the lamb was perfectly cooked, the hummus was exceptional, and the tabbouleh was quite good. The food arrived quickly, making Cleopatra's an excellent spot for a fast and satisfying Mediterranean themed meal.

Omg where to start I went to Santa Fe with my husband for a quick Holliday trip! Santa Fe is not a big place but there is little cafes and restaurants like this one who can give you a lot of pleasure and excitement about food! One of them is cleopatra Mediterranean cafe! To be honest I was surprise that Latino community work there preserving the flavor of the Mediterranean food. This is a 4 star café the food is not the best but Can pass Easily like 8 from 10! Prices little bit expensive and not too much served! The good thing they sell beer!! Next time when I stop by Santa Fe definitely I will stop and get some giro etc. also the waitress was so good and nice!

This place is always consistently the best and tastiest Mediterranean/Middle Eastern Cafe in the state. The restaurant is always clean, the service is good and quick, and the food is really good. The Nile Plate and Lamb gyros are my favorite things to get here. Oddly enough sweet potato fries are a great addition to all the meals here! Check it out.
